A brochure lands on my desk for the Xpose Awards - "celebrating the confusion between rhetoric and reality". BAE Systems, Shell and British American Tobacco fight it out for the "best omission" award - for publishing the "glossiest report while skillfully omitting the biggest environmental or social impact".
Meanwhile, the aviation and oil industries battle for the Taking the Most from the Government Box Office award. The event, hosted by "Digby Moans" is being held at the Labour Party conference on Monday by Friends of the Earth - of course.
Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a category for Government Mendacity.
