Russia’s Government has set itself a deadline of the end of next month for a $4 billion-plus disposal of Yuganskneftegaz, main operating unit of the Yukos oil giant.

NPC, the Iranian petrochemicals group, as well as two consortia of financial investors have reportedly bid between €3 billion (£2 billion) and $4 billion for Basell, the petrochemicals venture of Royal Dutch Shell and BASF.

Shares in Everfor Diamonds, a diamond exploration company with licences in Russia, began trading on Ofex after a £3 million placement.
