The Italian units of some of the world’s largest oil companies were reportedly facing an investigation into sales techniques last night. It is understood that the country’s antitrust agency is investigating possible cartel behaviour in the market for aircraft fuel. The investigation stems from reports originating from Rome and Milan airports. ENI and the Italian units of Esso and Shell are reportedly under investigation.
