LONDON -- The Shell Transport and Trading Company, said Friday that on Aug. 12, 2004 it purchased for cancellation 2,750,000 ordinary shares at 393.95 pence per share.

Royal Dutch Petroleum Company, on Aug. 12, 2004, purchased 600,000 ordinary shares at EUR40.56 per share.
