LUTONG, Miri - Sarawak Shell is looking for an engineer believed to be on holiday to an area affected by the tsunami tidal wave.
Datuk Jon Chadwick, Shell Malaysia chairman, in a message through the corporate affairs department to the employees said, "The company has one staff member and his partner whom we are unable to contact."
"We are doing everything we can to contact this staff member."
As no Shell staff could confirm, including the Corporate Affairs Department in Lutong, however, it was learnt that the Sarawakian still unknown of his whereabouts, is a drilling engineer, was on holiday with his partner at one of the destinations affected by the Tsunami tidal wave.
"We tried to contact him but to no avail," sources said.
Chadwick, meanwhile, thanked all staff who had helped to locate the staff who were holidaying in the areas directly affected by the disaster.
