Royal Dutch/Shell will start importing liquefied natural gas (LNG) in India in the first quarter of 2005, the head of the company's Indian operations, Vikram Mehta said on Wednesday.
He said Shell's LNG terminal in Gujarat would be ready by the end of this year and the company would also start retailing petrol and diesel by next month.
"We will start several petrol pumps by the end of the year," Mehta told reporters on the sidelines of a business conference.
