The closures have led to about 170,000 barrels of oil being shut in, the group confirmed after the explosion at the pipeline connected to the busy Bonny Light export terminal. Additionally, Shell said it expects to continue its share buyback programme in 2006 and will provide an update on the 2006 buy back programme with the full year results announcement on 2 February. It said it has completed the programme to return $5bn to shareholders in 2005 via purchases of shares in the market. |
