Shareholders of oil giant Royal Dutch/Shell are expected to vote in favour of a restructuring programme at Tuesday's annual meeting that will simplify the firm's complex dual-board structure.

The boards of Royal Dutch Petroleum and Shell Transport and Trading will be merged into one with a single chairman and chief executive.

Shares in the restructured firm are expected to begin trading on July 20.
