Filing of Schedule 13-D - update on acceptance level in Royal Dutch Offer

Royal Dutch Shell filed a Schedule 13-D with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after close of business on 29 July 2005. Within that filing Royal Dutch Shell confirmed that, as of the time of filing, Royal Dutch Shell has acquired beneficial ownership of 1,961,615,975 ordinary shares in the share capital of Royal Dutch (‘Royal Dutch Shares’), representing 94.79% of all issued and outstanding Royal Dutch Shares. This includes all Royal Dutch Shares exchanged for Royal Dutch Shell shares in the initial offer period and all Royal Dutch Shares tendered prior to the filing in the subsequent offer acceptance period.
