Reuters: Capline crude pipeline at 75 pct capacity –Shell: “Shell also said that "selected western and central corridor pipeline systems" connected to Gulf of Mexico offshore production have resumed operation”: Friday 2 September 2005

WASHINGTON, Sept 1 (Reuters) - The Capline crude oil pipeline is now operating at around 75 percent capacity, Shell Oil said on Thursday.

"Capline will resume service at full capacity once electric utility services are restored at pump stations located in Mississippi," the company said in a statement. The Capline was reopened on Wednesday, and has a capacity of 1.1 million barrels per day (bpd).

Meanwhile, Shell said its four refined products pipelines in Louisiana remained shut due to refinery outages. "These systems were not damaged as a result of Hurricane Katrina and will re-start once refinery production resumes," it said.
