Reuters: Shell says Bonga oil field to start up in November: Posted Tuesday 1 November 2005

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell said on Monday its Bonga oil project in Nigeria is due to start up in November.

"Bonga startup is (due) this month, I mean, November," Malcolm Brinded, Shell's exploration and development boss told journalists at the sidelines of an industry conference in Moscow.

The 200,000 barrel per day project has been delayed several times and costs have spiralled to $3.5 billion. The latest target for startup was the fourth quarter of this year.
