Forbes/AFX News Limited: Repsol YPF to bid alone for Royal Dutch Shell LPG ops: Friday 18 November 2005
MADRID (AFX) - Repsol YPF SA plans to bid on its own for Royal Dutch Shell Group's Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) operations, in a deal valued at some 2.5 bln eur, La Gaceta de los Negocios reported, citing Repsol YPF chairman Antoni Brufau.
Repsol YPF had initially announced plans to make a bid together with risk capital firm CVC Capital Partners.
According to Brufau, the two firms did not agree on the financial or industrial aspects of the operation.
But he did not rule out the possibility of taking another partner on board if Repsol YPF's bid is successful.
