Royal Dutch Shell, the Anglo-Dutch oil
giant, is to spend $100 million (£58 million) as part of an
exploration joint venture in Ukraine with Naftogaz
Ukrainy, the state-run group.
Hardman Resources, the London-listed
company credited with oil discoveries off Mauritania, will
attract takeover interest after its biggest shareholder sold a
10.2 per cent stake worth £50.7 million.
