Royal
Dutch Shell and BP have
signed agreements with Venezuela that govern the transition from
existing operating deals to new joint ventures with the
state-owned Petróleos de Venezuela.
Petrofac, the Aberdeen oil and gas
services group, has failed in its attempt to buy Centrica’s 23.2
per cent stake in the Hewett gasfield in the North Sea because
Tullow Oil and ENI, the other Hewett partners, objected to the
move.
Nelson Resources shareholders have
approved the £1.1 billion cash takeover of the AIM-listed
company by Lukoil, the Russian oil
giant.
