HAVING received tremendous response from viewers in its first season, TV3's Destinasi Selera Bersama Shell Gas makes a comeback for the second season through TV3's subsidiary company, Television News Network (TNN) with more interesting contents and action.
Brought exclusively by Shell Gas Malaysia, the programme attained more than one million viewers in the previous season.
This time, it will feature a "traditional dishes and local culture" travelogue concept.
Covering 13 episodes, the first episode was aired last Saturday. The programme will be aired every Saturday at 5.30pm.
Hosting the programme this season is bubbly TV personality, Raja Azura, and viewers can expect to enjoy more new traditional recipes at various destinations throughout Malaysia.
Destinasi Selera Bersama Shell Gas visits 12 States (excluding Kelantan) in Malaysia and reveals the secret of traditional dishes in each local State. It also highlights the lifestyle and traditional games.
This half-hour programme does not only feature the traditional dishes but also promotes the wonders and natural beauty of each State which include the extraordinary "Rumah Rakit" or Raft House in Kuala Tahan, Pahang, the beautiful horizon on the paddy fields in Kedah, the sandy beaches in the coastal areas of Kelantan, the stately traditional houses in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan, the regal Istana Kayangan area in Shah Alam, Selangor, and the majestic entrance at Gua Niah in Sarawak.
The aim of the programme is to share information on traditional food both with local and foreign viewers in Malaysia. It also indirectly promotes the specialty and attractions within Malaysia with the aim of stimulating domestic and international tourism.
Shell Gas Malaysia will also give safety tips on the proper way of using gas cylinders in homes.
